BCHC and PCTA will come together again to open wilderness trails in Red's Meadow area of the Mammoth Ranger District on the Inyo National Forest. The needs of our Forest Service/Park Service partners will shape the type of work we accomplish. Removing fallen trees with cross cut saws, erecting Administrative Pasture Fencing, tread repair may be required. We may send some crew members for 2 or 3 overnight remote wilderness trail projects.

Red's Meadow Pack Station and Resort (RMPS&R 7600 ft elevation) will provide vehicle parking, dispersed camping (tents or RVs), water, corrals, restrooms and showers for crew members. Meals will be provided at main camp and back country camps. Pack stock will be used to haul tools, dunnage and back country kitchen. Weed free forage required for horses/mules. Admission to RMPS&R is complimentary and private vehicles are allowed. View RMPS&R website (link above) for directions and more details of area.
